BIO / JACKSON STUBLAR

Based in Tucson, Arizona, Jackson is a photographer with a passion for capturing moments in time, with a primary focus on landscapes and portraits.

Jackson was born and raised in Houston, Texas, where he started photography in his junior year at Deer Park High School. He instantly developed a passion for storytelling through photography. Jackson then attended the University of Texas at Austin, where he received a degree in Advertising from the Moody College of Communication. He relocated to Tucson in 2023, following college graduation.

Jackson has been shooting for nearly ten years. He started with photos of football games and high school senior photos.

During his time at UT, Jackson served as the Photo Editor for the Cactus Yearbook and a Photographer at the Daily Texan. This allowed him to branch out in his photographic style, shooting NCAA athletics, student events, and other photojournalistic avenues around UT and the city of Austin. However, he always found himself landing back in the world of portraiture, where he began to specialize in college graduate portraits.

Jackson has a passion for visiting the National Parks of the United States, he has ventured to 21 of the 63 across the country. These travels contributed greatly to Jackson falling in love with landscape photography.

Lately, Jackson has rediscovered his passion for 35mm film, carrying a camera and rolls of film wherever he can.
